Essential Duties:

  • Process title registration and tag transactions received in the mail, from motor vehicle dealers, title service representatives, and at public counters.
  • Examine title and tag applications, registration transactions, bills of sale, liens, and other documents representing ownership for completeness and accuracy.
  • Advises customers, either verbally or in writing, of information or procedures required before title, tag, or registration applications can be processed.
  • Calculate excise tax and other cost figures from the reported sale prices of vehicles or from average retail sale values stated in the National Automobile Dealers Association handbook.
  • Compute fees for trucks, trailers, and other non-passenger vehicles based on vehicle weight and chart figures.
  • Collect and account for all fees and taxes applicable to title examination, registration, and license issuance.
  • Operate a camera, video display terminal, printer, typewriter, data entry equipment, laminating machine, automated processing equipment 1 and remittance processor.
  • Verify the eligibility status of individual’s driving records and insurance coverage prior to license issuance or renewal.
  • Inspects proof of age and identifies documents for validity and acceptability.
  • Test applications for vision qualification and knowledge of driving laws.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of English, spelling, punctuation, grammar and basic mathematics.

Essential Duties:

  • Independently investigates assigned claims, following sound claims handling techniques in accordance with company claim philosophy and standards, and in accordance with the Maryland Compensation Law.

  • With limited assistance from unit supervisor, reviews all relevant data, evaluates claims, determines coverage and compensability and negotiates within settlement authority.

  • Documents files with necessary reports, investigative notes, and other data as may be required by the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Law, the company and the unit supervisor. Keeps unit supervisor advised on status of problem claims.

  • Prepares files for hearing, develops defense of issues, identifies witnesses and makes decisions regarding appeals.

  • Attends hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, pre-trial hearings and fraud trials.

  • Provides superior service to policyholders, agents and the claims public. Complies with standards for service and prompt contact. Keeps agents and policyholders informed of claim status as appropriate. Anticipates and promptly responds to all issues and concerns.

  • Manages personal caseload effectively in accordance with claims standards.

    Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of worker’s compensation claims processing.
  • Knowledge of claims adjusting including laws, fraud, processes, calculation of benefits and case management.

Help Desk Representatives needed for our education client in Baltimore City.   Representatives will provide Tier 1 support and generate trouble tickets in a Remedy systems.   Work schedule is full time hours day shift.

Essential Duties:

  • Meet all Service Level Agreements (SLA) required by customer contract(s).
  • Answer calls and provide basic Tier 1 technical support, evaluate and generate trouble tickets in the Remedy system.
  • Provide end users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking application and other technologies.
  • Interview user to collect information about problem and lead the customer through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error.
  • If the issue is of a routine or standard nature, ensure that internal documented procedures for configuration or resolution are followed.
  • Log and track calls using trouble ticket system, and maintain history records and related problem documentation.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma.
  • At least 1 year of technical call center experience.
  • Good understanding of PC hardware and current supported Microsoft operating systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical problems for users.
  • Excellent communication skills; written and oral.
